Title
Palmyra: Commerce and Rebellion in the Near East.
Description
My thesis project is an argumentative research paper explaining how commerce was the most significant factor that contributed to the rise of Palmyra as an economic and cultural trade hub of the Roman Near East before then transitioning into a military power to expand its commercial interests until being destroyed by Rome in a revolt led by Queen Zenobia.
